The increase in off-road and forest cycle trails has led to the Lake District becoming a popular destination for those that enjoy exploring the landscape on two wheels. Popular cycling locations for families include Whinlatter Forest to the north-west of Keswick and Grizedale Forest to the west of Windermere.
