How Cottage is situated in the centre of the small village of Grange-in-Borrowdale, one of the iconic locations in the Lake District with its distinctive double hump-backed bridge over the River Derwent. The middle cottage of a row of three overlooking the village green, How Cottage provides excellent holiday accommodation for a party of four, with walks directly from the front door in all directions.

 

Entering the property through the front garden, the front door leads into a hallway that runs from front to back of the property. Downstairs the hallway leads to the lounge, kitchen, cloakroom and under-stairs storage. The lounge has good views of King's How, Grange Crags and the fells behind and is furnished with twin 2-seater sofas arranged around a coffee table and open coal fire. The kitchen has fitted units and appliances on two sides, and accommodates a good sized table and chairs providing comfortable dining for four.

 

From the central hallway, stairs lead up to the first floor, with a king sized double and single bedroom at the front of the property, having similar fell views to the sitting room. The bathroom and twin bedroom are located at the back of the property. From the window of the twin room glimpses of the Cat Bells and Maiden Moor can be seen.

 

To the front of the property is a sunny garden, which is paved with flower borders and a dry stone wall. Seating and a table are provided. In addition there is a stone store, with padlock door, which can be used to store up to 4 bicycles.
