A traditional, semi-detached white washed cottage dating from 1770 and retaining many original features in the pretty village of Bassenthwaite, just to the north of Keswick. This characterful and cosy cottage offers comfortable accommodation for five.

From the rear yard, the back door leads in to the fitted kitchen, with a small utility room off to the side. The kitchen in turn leads to the dining room with table and chairs centrally placed. A door to the side leads through to the lounge where sofas and chairs are arranged around an open coal fire. The kitchen also leads to a central hallway, with double doors leading to the lounge, and half-circular stairs to first floor accommodation.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms, a double and twin bedroom to the front of the cottage and a single bedroom and the bathroom to the rear. Outside there is an enclosed yard with storage space for cycles. Bassenthwaite has a seasonal campsite shop (Easter - October) offering basic groceries and there is a welcoming pub, The Sun Inn, providing meals and serving Jennings ales. The village has an open green where children play as well as a small playground by the river that runs through the village. Nearest supermarkets are Cockermouth 9 miles (Sainsburys) and Keswick 8 miles (Booths).
